A tasting descriptor for the aromatic, slightly sweet, resinous woodiness associated with Spanish cedar. It can come from the tobacco itself or be absorbed from box and humidor lining.
Why it matters
Because storage contributes to it, cedar is one of the notes that most clearly reflects how and how long a cigar was kept.
