Definition
A conventional yellow, low-pressure flame, as produced by a standard butane lighter, a match, or a spill. It burns cooler and less concentrated than a jet.
Why it matters
The gentler heat is more forgiving of an unsteady hand and less likely to char the wrapper edge, at the cost of being slow outdoors.
