Ecuadorian Sumatra

Tobacco & LeafSpanish
Definition
Sumatra-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador under the same natural cloud cover that shades the country's Habano crop. It is thin and fine grained, darker and sweeter than Connecticut Shade but milder than Habano.
Why it matters
This is the wrapper blenders reach for when they want visual darkness and gentle sweetness without adding strength.
In context
"The Ecuadorian Sumatra looked like a maduro and smoked like a medium cigar."
