Guillotine Cut

Smoking & Technique
Definition
A straight cut made with a single or double blade that removes a flat disc from the cap. Double-blade cutters close from both sides and tend to crush less than single-blade models.
Why it matters
It is the most versatile cut, works on nearly every shape, and lets the smoker control exactly how much cap comes off.
In context
"A double-guillotine handles a 60 ring gauge that a punch cannot reach."
