V-Cut

Smoking & Technique
Definition
A wedge or notch cut that removes a V-shaped channel from the cap. Also called a cat's eye.
Why it matters
The V exposes more filler surface than a punch while removing less wrapper than a guillotine, which some smokers find gives extra smoke volume without loosening the head.
In context
"A V-cut on a torpedo can flood the mouth with smoke if you go too deep."
