Definition
Individual tube, usually aluminium, glass, or cedar-lined metal, holding a single cigar. Cuban tubos are typically lined with cedar; most designs slow humidity exchange but are not airtight.
Why it matters
Tubos protect a cigar in a jacket pocket, but they are not long-term storage - a cigar in an unsealed tubo will still dry out in a dry room.
