Definition
A Habanos designation for cigars made from leaf aged approximately three years before rolling, released in limited numbered runs with distinctive black and silver banding.
Why it matters
Pre-aging the leaf rather than the finished cigar produces a noticeably rounder smoke on release, and the numbered boxes make provenance easy to document.
In context
"The Reserva drank smoother straight from the box than the standard production ever did."
