Warped Cigars

Kyle Gellis founded Warped in 2007 and built it around a deliberate refusal of the industry's move toward larger, stronger formats. Much of the range is made in traditional sizes, including thirty-six ring gauge coronas that most manufacturers had stopped offering, and the brand's marketing has consistently framed that as a Cuban-influenced choice rather than a nostalgic one. The company has kept its catalogue small relative to its visibility.

Production is split. A portion is rolled at El Titan de Bronze on Calle Ocho in Little Havana, one of the last working cigar factories in the historic Miami district, where Gellis blends personally. Other lines are made in Esteli using Aganorsa-grown Nicaraguan leaf. The catalogue includes La Colmena, Flor del Valle, Maestro del Tiempo, Corto and the Serie Gran Reserva 1988.

Warped remains independent and small, with releases often limited by the capacity of the Miami rolling floor. The company operates a related label, Black Label Trading Co., under separate branding. Founding-year accounts vary slightly, so this record is marked reported. Small-batch production of this kind is a deliberate constraint rather than a stage of growth, and releases are frequently allocated to retailers rather than sold openly.
